Polar Circle Marathon Often referred to as “the coolest marathon on Earth” – the Polar Circle Marathon is organized by Albatros Adventure Marathons in Kangerlussuaq at the end of each October. The first two Arctic Drone Conferences were held in Kangerlussuaq in January and September 2023 with Qeqqata Municipality a co-organiser. Greenland Science Week 2023 Greenland Science Week is an annual, multi-disciplinary Arctic science platform for networking, cooperation & public outreach. In 2023, Qeqqata Municipality kickstarted Science Week with a full weekend of science outreach events and trips around Sisimiut, Sarfannguit and Kangerlussuaq. We will be participating again in 2024.
